Quality, elegance and glamour have been the style hallmarks of Marvic Textiles since the company was founded in 1938 by Victor Afia, father of the present owner, Peter Afia. In the 1960s, the company became a leading specialist in luxury woven fabrics such as Genoa velvets, damasks and brocades. Toiles de Jouy also became a hallmark for Marvic Textiles and it remains a market leader in the supply of these beautiful fabrics.

Today, Marvic designs and supply a wide and versatile range of fabrics from timeless classics with a contemporary twist to cutting-edge textured neutrals for the home and dazzling silk sheers and embroideries.

Working with both domestic and contract markets Marvic is also able to offer a bespoke design service. The company takes great pride in its involvement in designing special fabrics for famous historic houses such as Buckingham Palace, Chatsworth, Holyrood Palace and Althorp. In addition, Marvic also has a long history of supplying fabrics for prestigious, international 5-star hotels such as The Lanesborough, The Bristol, Peninsula Beverly Hills, Four Seasons Hotels and Ritz Carlton Hotels.

Marvic can reproduce historic designs or modify the colours or qualities of current designs to meet the particular specifications of a project. With all its operations under one roof, Marvic is able to be flexible and react quickly to customer requirements.

Marvic offers a wide choice of designs and fabrics suitable for curtains and other window treatments. Whether you're looking for plain or intricate, heavy or lightweight, traditional or perhaps more contemporary, its textiles are incredibly versatile. Several of its designs are also available as a wallpaper. All of Marvic’s upholstery fabrics have been tested so that we can recommend durable textiles appropriate for your chosen project. Whether covering an occasional chair or seating in a restaurant or hotel, its hard wearing yet decorative fabrics always look the part. For the finishing detail, we can advise you on self piping and contrast trims.

Many of Marvic’s fabrics can be paper-backed which is both an affordable and popular way to add colour, pattern, texture and warmth to a room scheme. Installation is simple, following the same guidelines as with a wallpaper. All of our fabrics on this website can be batten-backed to create striking upholstered wall coverings. This more complex method requires a specialist contractor and is only available through interior designers.

A selection of Marvic’s most popular textile designs have been recreated as wallpapers. Use alone or, for extra strong impact, match to the curtain fabric.

For the perfect finishing touch to any room Marvic’s collections provide texture in various designs and a wide spectrum of colours. Using its fabrics to create complementary soft furnishings such as cushions, bedspreads, throws, table cloths, covers or even lampshades help to complete a room scheme.

Marvic has been supplying the contract market since they first started trading. Their experience combined with creativity enables them to provide visually pleasing fabrics that stand the test of time. With their bespoke service, many of our designs can be translated into contract standard qualities.
