An exquisite fabric created by layering three very different techniques; weave, embroidery and print. A trail of acers, otherwise known as Japanese maple, are painted then printed in blue and gilver onto a beautiful ivory silk and linen base cloth. Abstract chrysanthemum heads are then embroidered in glossy gold threads over the top as if randomly falling on the leaves. Multi-directional stitching creates the delicate filigree which catches the light.
