Bespoke William Morris Window Dressings

17th March 2023

We loved receiving these final shots from Interior Designers, Consult by FD of their project in Chichester, West Sussex.  This Grade II listed Arts & Crafts building is positioned at the top of a hill with beautiful views of the English channel and the surrounding land. The window dressings reflect the pretty location with their floral designs by Morris & Co alongside soft plain cushions and furniture upholstery to create a balanced peaceful environment for the residents.

The Strawberry Thief cotton curtains glow in the sunshine, bringing warmth into the room, making it the perfect spot to settle down with a book or chat with a friend.

Customer says...

"We are really pleased with how they turned out!"

The Marigold Linen makes for a smart wide width blind framing the bench seat of the dining room. The olive green leaf design brings texture to the space just enough, not to steal attention away from the backdrop through the window. An enjoyable project from our made to measure team, using some of the all time favourite William Morris prints in this fitting property.

About The Designs...

Strawberry Thief Cotton Fabric

An iconic pattern that can be dated back to 1883 and continues to be one of William Morris' most popular designs. A floral and bird design in aqua, beige tones, and soft green.  Red strawberries and green stylised acanthus leaves complete the motif.

Marigold Linen Fabric

Originally this was printed as a wallpaper but transfers well on to linen union. Inspired by Morris’s Willow Bough design this two-toned leaf pattern is great for creating a country cottage look in an interior. Bushy olive green leaves curl up the design with sweet flower heads on a speckled beige ground.
