A passion for patterns
"We believe that a beautifully decorated space is essential for our wellbeing."
This wallpaper collection boasts an array of patterns that are both timeless and masterfully coloured. Each design radiates its own unique character and creativity, offering a diverse selection that includes vibrant leaf motifs, charming florals, modern stripes, and intricate small-scale patterns. Every wallpaper in the collection feels fresh and inspirational, perfect for adding a touch of excitement to any room in your house.
All Långelid von Brömssen wallpapers and border designs are printed in western Sweden at the wallpaper manufacturer Ulricehamns Tapetfabrik. Using a traditional surface printing technique, where glue-bound inks are carefully rolled as single colours onto PEFC-accredited paper, as the pattern is held in the form of a wooden, felt, rubber or metal profile. A separate roller is required for each colour of the pattern, which results in a soft transition between the individual elements of the motif. The slight flowing into each other of the inks is part of the special character of wallpapers and the repeated application of ink creates a slightly raised and very classic feel to its finish, adding depth and warmth to all their designs.
While other wallpaper printers have turned to new, time-saving printing processes, Ulricehamns Tapetfabrik remained true to the traditional surface printing process. And with the rise of small-scale Swedish designers such as Långelid von Brömssen, it has experienced a renaissance. Their understanding that craftsmanship is fundamental in producing high-quality wallpapers, and the creation of new designs happens in close collaboration between designers, colourists and printers. This successful partnership has ensured that the original machines, which date back to the 1950's, are still in use today, and the irresistible designs of Emma von Brömssen and Daniel Långelid are gracing the walls of homes worldwide.
