Our pick of the best dog-friendly hotels offers everything from gourmet treats to complimentary welcome packs and Pooch Parlours. Whether you're seeking a break in the countryside or a stay in the capital, these pet-friendly retreats will provide a well-deserved break that your dog will enjoy as much as you do.

Dartmoor National Park, Devon

Bovey Castle

This five-star, dog-friendly resort in Devon offers a truly palatial stay for owners and their four-legged friends. Set within 275 acres of beautiful countryside within Devon's Dartmoor National Park, the hotel offers 60 individually designed country-house bedrooms along with 22 self-catering country lodges tucked away within the grounds. Guests can eat at one of the two restaurants and enjoy the luxurious on-site spa or head out for a game on their award-winning 18-hole championship golf course.

On arrival, dogs will receive a welcome letter along with a complimentary bed, bowl, toys and a chew. Dogs are welcome in all the bedrooms and lodges and have full access to the estate, which they can explore freely and play with newfound friends. Another Place, The Lake
