Charming Modern Country Master Bedroom

16 May 2024

We were thrilled to be invited back into our customer’s beautiful home to photograph this charming modern country bedroom that our interior designer, Hannah, designed. With a brief containing words such as ‘light, airy, serene and peaceful,’ Hannah our interior designer set about collating fabrics in a mixture of colours that would complement the calming, blue, painted walls.

Delighted with the mixture of greens and pinks, the customer was thrilled that the scheme linked the bedroom with the beautiful views of the garden and the landscape beyond. To further this relationship with the scenery outside, Hannah suggested adding our charming Fawley Chair, to provide a comfortable seat to enjoy them from.

About the Design

The hero piece of the room is the statement headboard, upholstered in the stunning Oxus Linen Fabric by Lewis & Wood.

Continuing the soft green across the window dressings, these bespoke curtains made in the ever-popular Jessamy Paisley linen frame the views beautifully.

As this accommodation is rented, the existing carpet could not be replaced, however was too dark for the scheme.

So a clever addition of a large neutral rug with a simple green border helped to lift the light levels in the room.

Finally, some pretty lampshades, a plain green bed valance, a bolster cushions made in the same Balcony Stripe to match the chair, and a bespoke cushion complete with characterful frill, were added to dress the room and tie the whole scheme together.
