Combining many of the monarchical symbols of England such as the Tudor Rose, roaring lion, and the oak tree, this wallpaper is a unique take on a traditional damask print. Finished with gilded paints, this metallic gilver on ink design emulates the beautifully aged textures of oxidised metals. Taking its name from the great oak in Boscobel Wood which helped Charles II hide from the Roundhead soldiers pursuing him, later becoming known as the Royal Oak – it is an ode to the most-regal of English symbols.
