Georgian House Interior Ideas Bespoke Headboard

15th April 2022

A Georgian house guest room at Henge Estate, put together by Victoria the owner. The fresh green walls and traditional furnishings make for a welcoming bedroom, with Coromandel fabric by Lewis & Wood featuring on the headboard against the delightful green. The pretty chintz design ties together the room's colour palette well, bringing together the woodwork with its warm brown accents, neutral flowers balancing out the lampshades and bedding, and of course the rich green sitting perfectly against the walls.

About The Design...

A magnificent printed linen featuring large floral motifs in a warm pink browns with bright green leafy foliage, printed on a neutral linen ground. This V&A design was found on an 18th century Palampore panel from the Coromandel Coast of India, an area renowned for painted and dyed cotton chintzes and has been lovingly recreated. Our skillful made to measure team can help create your own headboard or upholstery project at F&P.

Victoria wanted this bedroom to have an eastern feel with burnt oranges, greens and blacks. This has been accomplished by combining a paisley fabric on the bedspread with matching red pin stripe cushions, whilst keeping the rest of the room plain with traditional framed artworks. A delightfully styled interior ready for its next guests.

Customer Says...

"The fabric was perfect, not least because the design is called Coromandel, which is where my family would holiday in New Zealand in my childhood."
