A scenic fabric depicting a forest scene richly studded with clusters of small flowers. Amongst the trees are rabbits, hedgehogs, horned sheep, squirrels, wild fowl, moles, deer and a handsome unicorn. A mid-15th-century forest design, discovered in a house in Halifax in 1901, the design is printed on luxurious velvet in a deep rust red. Suitable for curtains, soft furnishings and domestic upholstery.
