Interior Decorating Ideas with Nature Prints

31st January 2019

These interior decorating ideas come straight from Sussex (where we're based). This beautiful living room, bathroom, and master bedroom have all recently been re-vamped. Plus, the designer wallpaper in each room came from us!

See inside the Brighton home of our local customer for some lovely home design ideas.

Living Room Design Ideas

For the living room she chose a statement wallpaper for a feature wall. This pattern is called Cow Parsley Wallpaper. The large soft silhouettes create a classic pattern.

The beige colour that has been chosen fits with the neutral room design. The sofa fabric is also very well matched in tone.

Plus, the pattern's colour has been repeated in white paint on the walls, ceiling, and cornices. White is then repeated again on the plant pot.

The rest of the room also has a repetition of tones. Fabric has been coordinated with home accessories in the ombre wall-hanging and a cushion. Likewise, the throw and cushions.

The result is a room perfectly in balance and beautifully brought together. Furthermore, it uses contemporary colours and finishings.

Bathroom Design Ideas

Using blue in a bathroom is nothing new but you would usually expect the theme to be nautical or coastal. This has been turned on its head with this vivid Palm Jungle Wallpaper.

The contemporary design has become a favourite of Cole & Son wallpaper fans. Plus, the blue and white scheme is ideally suited to this bathroom.

The bathroom is completed with similarly modern fixtures and large black rectangular tiles. Both of these are fitting to temper the vivacity of the wallpaper.

Consequently, this bathroom design has continued the motif of a contemporary home. Its use of textures, colour and a statement print work perfectly.

Bedroom Design Ideas

Another recurring concept becomes clear in the bedroom. Large nature illustrations are a key feature of this home. This is seen in the use of Bamboo Cane Wallpaper.

Placing the feature wall behind the bed allows it to be a focal point without being overwhelming. This is because the room's inhabitants don't wake up looking at it. It keeps the wallpaper design as a novelty of the room.

The tone on tone grey room is again a modern trend. This has been doubled-down on with both the wallpaper and the use of grey paint.

Furthermore, the pairing of grey with cream and pink is a popular home inspiration look. It's evident on the rug, blanket, and in the artwork.

The bedroom decor, however, uses smaller patterns elsewhere. By keeping them subtle, in size and colour, it allows more variety. This can be seen on the dresser, bedding, bedside table, and carpet.

Texture has then been added in the blanket's trimmings and faux fur of the chair. All providing a contemporary room that completes this modern home design.
