Charming Cottage Bedroom Featuring Morris Wallpaper

11th September 2019

A charming country cottage bedroom by Three Sheep that boasts the perfect interior within which to showcase this heritage green leaf wallpaper. The enchanting Bramble Wallpaper design by Morris & Co  features an exuberant blackberry briar with an abundance of berries and flowers.

Lovingly papered on all four walls to foster a cosy atmosphere, this medium scale print has a compact arrangement that makes the walls feel snug and intimate. This is cleverly balanced by the large window which allows light to fall across the rich charcoals and dusky greens. It illuminates the room and stops it feeling gloomy or too dark.

The owners have opted to pair the wallpaper with a mixture of neutral cottons and linens to dress the bed, featuring subtle checks and textured fabrics to add softness and comfort. The velvet window seats and sapphire cushion are a lovely throwback to fashions during the Arts and Crafts period in which the wallpaper was originally designed. Their rich jewel tones break up the earthier hues that are used across the room and the velvet material adds a touch of luxury to the space.

So beautifully put together, this bedroom scheme celebrates this world famous William Morris design in all its glory whilst at the same time creating a space that is comfortable and fit for modern day living.
